Choosing a hand-knotted rug

A custom rug built one knot at a time.

Hand-knotted rugs suit projects where construction, pattern definition and lasting character matter. Our Bhadohi studio can adapt an existing design or develop a custom hand-knotted rug from your artwork, dimensions and colour direction.

Construction

Skilled weavers form the design knot by knot before the rug is washed, finished and inspected by hand.

Materials

Choose fine natural wool or a considered wool, silk or viscose blend according to the surface and sheen required.

Custom specification

Share the required size, shape, colour direction and room context so the studio can confirm the appropriate specification.

How it is made

A patient construction for lasting character.

Hand-knotting gives the maker control over pattern definition, pile and colour transitions. After weaving, each rug is washed, finished and inspected by hand before delivery.

Order visibility

Follow your rug after dispatch.

Once your finished rug has passed final inspection and is collected for shipment, we send the tracking number and tracking link by email or WhatsApp. You can then follow the order through FedEx or DHL until delivery.
