About our studio
Custom Made Rugs Studio is the direct-to-customer website of Custom Made Rugs, a family rug-making business based in Bhadohi, India.
Founder Abid Ahamed Ansari is the third generation of his family to carry forward the craft of handmade rug making. The studio works directly with experienced designers, dyers, weavers, carvers, washers and finishers in Bhadohi, a centre of Indian carpet craftsmanship.
We specialise in hand-knotted, hand-tufted, Moroccan high-pile and hand-carved rugs. Customers can order collection designs or request custom dimensions, shapes, colours, materials and patterns. Every specification is confirmed before production.
Each rug moves through design preparation, yarn selection, colour approval, weaving, carving or finishing, washing, stretching and final inspection. Production updates and loom photographs are available on request. Finished orders are shipped worldwide through FedEx or DHL.

Once your finished rug has passed final inspection and is collected for shipment, we send the tracking number and tracking link by email or WhatsApp. You can then follow the order through FedEx or DHL until delivery.
